People across the North East will need to wrap up warm this weekend as wintry weather sees temperatures fall to -3C.

Lowest temperatures falling to between zero and -3 degrees and winds will ease leading to a widespread sharp to severe frost and icy roads.

Sheffield is set for a cold but bright and sunny wintry day today.
