Melbourne police save woman from train with seconds to spare

The footage shows the woman walking across the tracks on Tuesday and attempting to climb up to the platform.

Melbourne police have been praised for saving a woman from an oncoming train - with just two seconds to spare.

"She's very lucky to be alive because if we had not been in the spot that we were in, it would have been a very bad outcome on the day."

Three police officers rush to help her - and manage to pull her up only seconds before a train comes rushing into the station.

The train driver hits the brakes, but could not have stopped in time.
