Here Are the Impressive First Week Numbers for Taylor Swift's 'Reputation'

Reputation is Swift's fourth million-selling week - she is now the only artist to achieve that feat, having previously been tied with Adele.

Billboard reports that the tally is the 10th-largest sales week for any album since Nielsen began electronically tracking sales 1991.

According to Nielsen, Reputation sold an astonishing 41 percent more albums than the other 199 albums on this week's Billboard 200 combined.

Taylor Swift's newly released album Reputation has put up some big numbers.

Oh, and Reputation is already the best selling album of the year.

But the figure was less than half the monster sales for the debut of Adele's "25" album, which surpassed 2.43 million copies in the first four days of release in November 2015 and smashed a 15-year-old USA record set by boy band NSync in 2000.

Reputation is the first album to sell over one million copies in a single week in America since Adele's 25 shifted 1.157 million during its fifth week on sales (it opened with a record-breaking 3.378 million in its opening week).

Only one other new release cracked the Top 10: Evanescence's Synthesis debuted at Number Eight at 34,000 total copies.

Offset, 21 Savage, and Metro Boomin' s collaborative album Without Warning slipped one spot from the previous week to number six.
