TSU Football Player Expelled After Violent Incident During Game

A college football player at Tennessee State University punched a coach on the sideline during a game this weekend and was subsequently expelled and dismissed from the team, The Tennessean reported.

In video obtained by The Tennesseean, senior defensive end Latrelle Lee can be seen striking T.J. Greenstone, the program's strength and conditioning coach, twice before Greenstone falls to the ground.

TSU won Saturday's game 23-20 over Southeast Missouri, and is 2-4 in Ohio Valley Conference play.

The 22-year-old Lee was expelled on Monday.

Per the Tennessean, Greenstone - a former defensive tackle at Vanderbilt - is charged with keeping players who aren't in the game from stepping on the field. He did not play in Saturday's game, according to a report from The Tennessean.

Lee was majoring in criminal justice and was named to the Ohio Valley Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.

Lee was a part-time starter over the past two seasons.

The Dothan, Alabama, native appeared in a total of 27 games in his first three seasons at Tennessee State, totaling seven sacks during that time.
