Inter Milan and Juventus eye summer move for Olivier Giroud

Olivier Giroud

Arsenal brought in £52m striker Alexandre Lacazette, meaning Giroud has been demoted to the bench for most of the season.

Premier League clubs like West Ham United and Everton were the frontrunners for his signature but Giroud instead elected to stay in North London.

And according to Calciomercato, Giroud may be offered an Italian escape route in the coming months.

But Giroud came close to leaving for Everton in the last transfer window, which could indicate that Wenger will not stand in his way should the right move come along.

During his time at the club, he has won the FA Cup three times, and scored a century of goals in 237 appearances.

CalcioMercato claim Giroud is being targeted by Juve as a replacement for Mario Mandzukic, while he would add to Inter's options up front if he was to move to the San Siro, with Mauro Icardi now their only recognised striker.

Olivier Giroud could once again look towards the Arsenal exit door in January after losing his place in the French national team (via Sport Witness).
