Megyn Kelly Addresses Fears

Former Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly wants a clean slate to host her new morning show, but audiences were hardly ready to forget Kelly's political past in the current climate.

The first show kicked off with the cast of "Will and Grace" plugging their series, which returns to TV on September 28, and Kelly's new co-workers from "TODAY" giving her a warm welcome with mimosas.

"I can't hear anything you are saying".

Megyn got a warm welcome from the "Today" team just before she went on air, with anchors Matt Lauer and Savannah Guthrie checking in with her from their perch at Rockefeller Center.

"I am done with politics", Kelly told the in-studio crowd during the third hour of NBC's daily morning show, which opened with her giving a monologue about why she'd transitioned from cable news to daytime TV.

The show's launch was many months in the making and comes nearly 9 months after NBC lured Kelly away from Fox News.

She then added: 'We don't know what's going to happen.
