Celtic set to miss out on Jason Denayer

This decision comes as a huge surprise because the strong centre-back had a chance to play Champions League football with Celtic and to compete on a top level.

First, Rivaldo Coetzee failed his medical at Celtic due to a problem with his right foot, as reported by BBC Sport, and then Manchester City's Jason Denayer made a decision to snub a return to Celtic Park to go back to Galatasaray on loan, according to The Daily Record.

According to Daily Record, the Belgian global didn't want to come back to Glasgow and play for the Scottish champions and as a result, he chose to join the Turkish powerhouse Galatasaray.

Denayer has struggled to make the breakthrough at parent club Manchester City.

The 22-year-old Belgian has been on City's books since 2014, but is yet to play for the senior team, having been sent to Celtic, Galatasaray and Sunderland on loan deals since moving to the Etihad.
