Both Witherspoon and Aniston will be credited as executive producers along with Steve Kloves ("Wonder Boys" and "Harry Potter"). The two have remained good friends over the years. For Witherspoon, it's set to be yet another success following her brilliant performance as Madeline Martha Mackenzie in Big Little Lies.

The package is expected to be offered to premium cable networks like HBO and streaming services like Netflix.

The 48-year-old has expressed her interest in returning to television, if and when the right project came along.
